Christine Fishbein is one of Islip CrossFit’s passionate, fierce, loving, and encouraging coaches. She is the wife to Owner/Coach Pete for 10 years and mother to their two awesome and wild children Ella and PJ and the family’s beastly dog Maximus.
Outside of coaching, she works as an elementary school speech language pathologist and primarily spends her days helping students with Autism find their voice in the world. She loves her job and all the challenges and small victories that come with the territory.
Christine takes tremendous pride in how she juggles all the working parts of her life including being a mom, wife, daughter, sister, speech therapist, friend, coach, housekeeper, laundry doer, etc. She always strives to do her best which is how she leads others. She wants nothing more than for everyone she surrounds herself with to be the best they can be for themselves.
After 3 years of CrossFitting, Christine began to evaluate her performance and wanted to learn more. She enjoys working with members to find the missing link that helps them improve their fitness, form, or technique.
In her Career, Christine is most passionate about making a connection with her students and with the members at the gym. She believes if she can make a connection, then together they can tackle the difficulties and make progress.
Personally, Christine is simply passionate about her family. Husband, kids, mothers, siblings, blood relatives or not…she is passionate about the people who she considers family and protecting them fiercely and supporting them fully.
When Christine is not working, coaching, or working out you can find her spending time with her friends and family. She’s not so sure you would ever catch her “relaxing”…what’s that? She says. The busy lifestyle is her thing and she lives for it, hence why she cannot live without her coffee…and wine.
