Taylor may be our youngest coach but she is undoubtedly one of our most knowledgeable and continually educated in the sport. Taylor describes herself as a generally physically active person and her hard work shows through her coaching and performance at Islip CrossFit.
Taylor recently graduated from Adelphi University with a Bachelor Degree in Physical Education. She loves working with children and this degree provides her that opportunity.
When she is not working, she likes to spend time with her family and friends. Her favorite past time is anything active including fun in the pool, walking the dogs, and spending time outside.
Before she became a coach at Islip CrossFit she worked at the YMCA where she was the youngest person to ever be appointed as a director. This was a huge accomplishment for Taylor and her professional experience as well as her personal confidence that she feels helps her to succeed as a coach.
Taylor decided to become a coach because she genuinely loves to help people achieve their fitness goals. She gets super excited to see an athlete she’s been coaching achieve a personal goal. Watching their progress and seeing how hard they have worked to reach that goal is the best feeling ever, she says. Coaching has been an extremely rewarding experience for Taylor in this sense and she is so happy to be a part of our athlete’s growth.
Taylor is passionate about learning the most she can in the CrossFit industry so she can pass it along to other members in the gym. When she learns something new, especially from Rich Froning, she is always eager to share and teach it in her classes. Outside of her love for the sport of CrossFit she is passionate about her family and is forever grateful for the relationship they have and the time she gets to spend with them.
When she is not coaching or working out she is usually spending time with her family. She is very close with her cousins, aunts and uncles. On the weekends, if it is nice and sunny we can find her lounging poolside in her yard or at the beach.
